Toyota Etios, Liva Facelift Launched in India; Feature, Price Details

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has pulled the wraps off the facelifted models of Etios sedan and Liva hatchback in India on Tuesday.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has pulled the wraps off the facelifted models of Etios sedan and Liva hatchback in India on Tuesday with a price tag starting at ₹5.74 lakh and ₹4.76 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The cars, which come with changes both inside and outside also get a new badging in their new avatars. Under the hood, both Etios and Liva facelifts carry over the same engines of their existing models. While Etios facelift sedan gets power from the 1.5-litre petrol engine that can churn out 90 PS of power and 132 Nm of torque and a 1.4-litre diesel motor producing 68 PS power and 170 Nm of torque, Etios Liva comes with the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel motor, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

"Toyota is constantly working towards developing better technology to provide enhanced safety. With increased accidents and growing concerns over safety, as a first step we have standardized driver and passenger airbags for Etios, Etios Liva and Etios Cross across all grades. We have also seen a growing importance of safety among customers nowadays. The standardization of air bags across grades is to further reinforce this thought and ensure the safety of our customers and their families," said N Raja, Senior Vice President & Director (Sales & Marketing), Toyota Kirloskar Motor at the launch.

Talking about the changes made in the upgraded models, the cars now get dual front airbags, which are the same across all the variants and for that Toyota deserves applause. There is also new front grille across all the models and in addition to this, the middle variants of the facelifts feature new fabric for seats, two rear speakers and a larger LCD display.

The top end variants of the cars get steering-mounted controls, rear parking sensors, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors and new finish for the armrests along with new alloys.

Etios sedan facelift gets a price tag in the range of ₹5.74 - ₹7.06 lakh (petrol) and ₹6.84 - ₹8.16 lakh (diesel), while Etios Liva gets ₹4.76 - ₹6.57 lakh (petrol) and ₹5.94 - ₹6.95 lakh (diesel).
