Toyota is all set to launch the updated versions of Etios and Liva in India. Emerging reports suggest that the sedan and hatchback unveiled in Brazil last week as Platinum will go on sale in India during the festive season this year.
While the face-lifted avatars are likely to carry most of the features of the Brazilian-specific versions, it is also expected to be tailored to suit the Indian market, reports Car and Bike.
Mechanically, Etios and Liva are expected to continue without changes. Currently, the sedan is sold with 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options, while Liva comes with a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
Speaking of the changes in the face-lifted avatar, the bumper has been reworked and it now gets new V-shaped grille with chrome and black honeycomb inserts. While the side profile remains mostly untouched, it now gets side skirts and new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. At the back, it has been updated with tweaked bumper and integrated spoiler.
Coming to the interior of the updated version, it gets an all-black cabin and a piano black finished centre console and a digital instrument cluster.
Toyota is offering huge discounts on the current models of Etios and Liva in India to welcome the face-lifted avatars. While the dealerships in Mumbai are giving discounts of up to Rs. 15,000 for Etios, there are discounts of Rs. 12,500 in Delhi.
