Toyota Kirloskar Motors has been testing the face-lifted version of the Etios sedan under camouflage. The launch of the new version is expected to take place on the 13th of this month. Ahead of the launch, a picture of the India-spec Etios facelift has been leaked online.
The leaked image posted by the Gaadiwaadi.com shows the face of the sedan. The new face is in line with the Etios Platinum launched in Brazil last year. It features a new V-shaped grille with black honeycomb inserts. The bumper has been reworked to include more black-coloured areas, which makes it more attractive as compared to the previous bland design. The chrome bazel near the fog lamps is exclusive to the India model. Headlamps are continued without any changes, and yet the overall look of the vehicle seems more refreshing following the updates.
The side profile of the sedan is expected to get side skirts and newly-designed alloy wheels. The rear will get a reworked bumper and integrated spoiler in line with the Brazilian version. The interiors are expected to get an all-black cabin and a centre console with piano black finish. The -centrally-mounted instrument cluster will be upgraded to digital display. The top-spec version may also flaunt a touchscreen infotainment system.
The powertrains on the Etios sedan are expected to continue without changes. The sedan is sold with 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options in the country.
