The launch date of Toyota's Etios facelift has almost been confirmed. The Etios facelift, which was unveiled as Platinum in Brazil earlier this month, is reportedly set for India launch in the second week of September.
While it was said earlier that the Etios facelift would make its India entry during the festive season this year, there was no clarity on the launch date. Now a report of Team BHP says that the launch of the Etios facelift has been scheduled for Sept. 13.
Toyota is already offering huge discounts on the current models of Etios and Liva in India to welcome the face-lifted avatars. While the dealership centres in Mumbai are giving discounts of up to Rs. 15,000 for the Etios, discounts of Rs. 12,500 are on offer in Delhi. It is also being said that the bookings for the new avatar of the models are likely to commence soon.
In the face-lifted avatar, the bumper has been reworked and it now gets new V-shaped grille with chrome and black honeycomb inserts. While the side profile remains mostly untouched, it now gets side skirts and new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the back, it has been updated with a tweaked bumper and integrated spoiler.
The cabin of the updated version now gets an all-black look, a piano black-finished centre console and a digital instrument cluster.
Coming to the powerplant of the Etios, the engine is expected to continue without changes. Currently, the sedan is sold with 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options, while Liva comes with a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
