A lot has already been written about Toyota's upcoming Etios facelift, which is expected to be launched in the country on Sept. 13. The Etios facelift, which went on sale in Brazil last month as Platinum, is confirmed to be called by the same name in India.
A fresh batch of spy shots of the Etios facelift has started doing the rounds on the internet, showing the model at a dealership. The spy shots shared by the AutomotiveIndia confirms the name of the Etios facelift as Etios Platium.
From what we know so far, the Toyota Etios facelift aka Etios Platinum is likely to remain unchanged under the hood. Currently, the sedan is sold with 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options. While the petrol mill is tuned to churn out 89bhp of power and 132Nm torque, the diesel mill generates 67bhp of power and 170Nm torque.
In its new avatar, the Etios facelift flaunts V-shaped grille at the front with black honeycomb inserts, chrome bezel near the fog lamps and gets a refreshed front bumper. At the rear, it comes with reworked bumper and integrated spoiler in line with the Brazilian version. The Etios facelift will also get side skirts and newly-designed alloy wheels.
While the interior of the Etios facelift remains mostly untouched, it is expected to get dual tone grey and ivory dashboard along with revised instrument cluster and new seats. The safety in the new Etios facelift is expected to be taken care of by ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) and pre-tensioners.
