If the emerging reports are to believed, Toyota's crossover Etios Cross is getting ready for a makeover in India.
The company is reportedly working on an upgraded model of Etios Cross, which would be dubbed Etios Cross Dynamique, reports MotorOctane. The new Etios Cross Dynamique will have high ground clearance and the cabin of the model is also expected to get major changes like touchscreen infotainment system.
Under the hood, the face lifted avatar of Etios Cross is likely to include the same engine options – the 1.2-litre petrol engines and 1.4-litre D-4D diesel engine. While petrol 1.2 litre DOHC engine can generate maximum power of 6KW (90 PS) @ 5600 rpm, the diesel model of the new crossover is tuned to make 68bhp of power.
The existing Etios Cross, an overhauled version of Toyota Etios Liva, was launched in India last year.
Toyota is also rumoured to introduce its outgoing Innova model as Innova Cross with changes like touchscreen infotainment system with bluetooth and reverse parking camera.
Toyota, which is also readying the new gen Innova, is likely to retain a price tag close to the current Innova for its new Cross. Innova Cross is expected to retain the same body kit and powertrains of the current model.
