Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has lauded Harry Kane as the best striker in the Premier League.
Kane scored twice for Spurs when they beat Bournemouth 3-0 on 20 March, putting his total haul for the season at 21 goals, two ahead of Leicester Citys Jamie Vardy. Spurs win over Bournemouth kept them five points behind City, who secured a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace 24 hours earlier to go eight points clear at the top for just 24 hours.
Is he the best striker in the Premier League? For me, yes. Maybe its difficult to say hes the best, but hes one of the best, Pochettino said.
Kane also set up the third goal when his 25-yard shot was saved by Artur Boruc who could only push it straight to Christian Eriksenl, who tapped in from close range. Hes one of the best strikers of a ball and his performance was fantastic today. It was a really good game for him.
After the international break, Tottenham have a tough run of games, with away matches at Liverpool and Stoke, plus a home game against Manchester United. Leicester, on the other hand, face Southampton at home and Sunderland away.
Pochettino also claimed that Spurs need to believe they still can catch Leicester to win the Premier League.
