Parts of the world, including India, Indonesia and some regions in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean will witness the sole solar eclipse of the year 2016 on Wednesday, March 9. While regions in the Indian Ocean will be able to see the total eclipse, India will reportedly witness only 12 percent of it in Hyderabad.
The eclipse that would last for around seven hours and 27 minutes would be visible in Hyderabad between 6:29 a.m. and 6:47 a.m Wednesday, the Hindu reported, citing the Planetary Society of India. The sight of the moon coming in between the sun and Earth will be visible in some parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as well.
According to timeanddate.com, slices of solar eclipse will also be visible in some parts of several other Indian states, including Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Odisha, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The March solar eclipse of the year 2016 will be the last until Dec. 26, 2019, when another eclipse will be witnessed.

Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi, among other regions in Indonesia, will be able to see the eclipse partly. The partial eclipse can also be witnessed in South Asia, East Asia and the north and east of Australia.

The total solar eclipse of the year can also be witnessed online, live on the exploratorium. "The Exploratorium will present a real-time webcast of the total solar eclipse from Micronesia," the website reads.
The website allows the viewer to find out the timings of the live streaming according to their respective time zones. In Bengaluru, people can live stream the solar eclipse from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. March 9, 2016.
