It looks like Tork T6X, India's first premium electric motorcycle, has caught the fancy of the bike lovers in the country. If early indications are anything to by, all-electric motorcycle Tork T6X has managed to garner over 1,000 pre-bookings in less than 24 hours of its launch.
Tork Motors, a Pune-based electric bike start-up, launched T6X, India's first premium electric motorcycle in Bengaluru on September 30 with a price tag of Rs 1.25 lakh. The motorcycle is currently open for pre-bookings in India and aspiring customers need not pay any deposit for now.
Once the users register their interest by clicking the Pre-book option on Tork website, the company will contact them for test rides. The customers will be requested to pay the booking amount after the test ride, only if he/she is interested in buying. Tork is expected to commence the delivery of the T6X motorcycle in India in 2017, reports CarandBike.
To be launched in black and white colour options, the T6CX measures 1,960mm in length, 784mm in width, 1,085mm in height and 1,336mm wheelbase. A third colour will be added to the palette later. It comes with a ground clearance of 160mm and weighs 130kg. The T6X is employed with Telescopic front forks and spring loaded hydraulic rear suspension.
Powered by lithium ion batteries, the T6X can attain a top speed of 100kmph and it claims a battery life of up to 80,000 to 1,00,000km. The battery can be charged up to 80 percent in an hour and full charge in two hours and it is capable of running 100km on a single charge when plugged to a 15A power socket.
