Top UFO Sightings Across World [VIDEOS]

The year 2013 started off with numerous reports of UFO sightings across the globe.

The latest UFO sighting was reported by Hollywood actor Russell Crowe who posted a video on YouTube claiming that he had seen an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) over the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney.

The time-lapse video footage was taken outside the actor's office in the inner-city Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo. While some ridiculed his claim, others gave their own explanation for the phenomenon.

But a UFO expert Marc D'Antonio debunked Russell's claim saying that the object moving across the sky was nothing but a sailboat.

This is not the first time that UFO sightings have been reported. Several videos have been posted on social networking sites by people who believe that they have spotted a UFO. While some videos have been called a hoax, the rest have remained unexplained.

UFO Spotted in Sky Above Cardwell, Australia

In January, a father-son duo spotted two bright objects in the sky of Queensland, Australia.

Businessman Greg Smith and his son noticed two bright orange lights moving separately across the sky outside the Lyndoch Motel on the Bruce Highway in Cardwell, Australia. Their reports were confirmed by Cardwell residents Phil and Helen Mulley.

UFO Footage from Massachusetts Plane

In February 2013, a boy unexpectedly caught on video a flat object that moved past at a rapid speed, while he was flying to Massachusetts. The young boy was recording on tape another passenger jet that was flying at a farther distance, when he filmed the unidentified object whizzing past the jet.

"Bird-like" UFOs in Mexico

A fleet of eight bird-like UFOs were caught on camera in Mexico. A YouTube user called "pisosmadera" posted a video of at least eight objects flying across the sky.

However, some reports suggested that the flight movements of the objects resembled a flock of birds - American white pelican. Some birds have the ability to fly for long periods without flapping their wings.

There were also reports suggesting that the UFOs could be drones being tested by US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

UFOs at ISS

In January this year, there were reports that a cigar-shaped UFO was moving slowly across the sky near the International Space Station, a research laboratory orbiting about 250 miles above Earth.
