"Yodhavu," the Malayalam dubbed version of Allu Arjun's blockbuster Telugu movie "Sarrainodu," has been performing well at the Kerala box office, becoming the biggest opening weekend grosser of the superstar in Kerala.
The action thriller, which has collected Rs. 119.3 crore from worldwide box offices within 39 days, is said to have collected a gross amount of Rs. 74 lakh on its opening day, taking a total of approximately Rs. 1.85 crore during its first weekend at the Kerala box office owing to the positive responses from movie-goers. The Boyapati Srinu-directed movie has become the second highest Telugu opening weekend grosser in Kerala.
Among the highest Telugu opening weekend grosser in the state, SS Rajamouli's magnum-opus National Award winning movie "Baahubali" enjoys the top spot by earning almost Rs. 2.70 crore during its first weekend in Kerala. Meanwhile, Anushka Shetty's "Rudramadevi" has been ranked on the third position in the list by collecting approximately Rs. 1.65 crore within three days in the South Indian state. According to trade analysts, the four-day gross collection of the movie amounts to Rs. 2.30 crore with almost Rs. 90 lakh from the Malabar region alone, where Arjun enjoys a huge fan following. "#Yodhavu 4 Days Kerala Gross 2.30cr & Allu Arjun's Strong Area Malabar Gross Around 90Lacs [sic]," tweeted Malayalam Review. The Allu Arjun-starrer is also expected to enter the list of top five Telugu (dubbed in Malayalam) list in Kerala, breaking the records of the superstar's collection records of "Badrinath" and "Race Gurram."
Following the fabulous response from the audience in Kerala, youth icon Arjun visited his fans in Kochi and Thrissur on Monday, May 30, and thanked them for their support. "Thank you for all the love Kerala ! [sic], the actor posted while sharing a photo on his Facebook page.
