We've finally arrived at the last leg of what has been a rollercoaster year for mobile manufacturers, and there's no slowing pace event towards the end. Like October and November, December is also going to be exciting for smartphone enthusiasts as they are going to witness some great launches.
The big guns, Apple, Samsung, Google, Huawei, OnePlus, Xiaomi and others might have already launched their biggest flagships this year, yet the month of December saves some of the best devices for the last.
Let's take a look at some of the top smartphones launching in December 2018:
Oppo R17 Pro
Oppo is finally launching its R-series in India and the first handset to mark this grand debut is the R17 Pro, which will be unveiled at an event in Mumbai on December 4. The biggest features of the R17 Pro include SuperVOOC fast charging, triple rear cameras with dual aperture, in-display fingerprint scanner, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and more.
Samsung Galaxy A8s
As the notch trend dominated 2018, Samsung is going to end the year on a high note with its revolutionary Galaxy A8s. This will be the first smartphone to embrace Infinity-O display, which practically digs a hole in the screen for selfie camera. The Galaxy A8s is widely believed to be a trendsetter in 2019 even though it is slated to be launched sometime this month.
Huawei Nova 4
While Samsung is yet to confirm its Infinity-O smartphone's launch, Huawei has stolen the spotlight by confirming Nova 4 smartphone to be launched in China on December 12. The smartphone is said to have an in-screen camera with bezel-less display – similar to Samsung Galaxy A8s.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition
After dominating the premium smartphone category with its flagship smartphones like OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T this year, the rapidly-growing Chinese smartphone brand has confirmed that it will be launching a special OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition at an event London on December 11, followed by another event in India on December 12.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is said to have 10GB RAM, making it the first widely-available smartphone with such high RAM configuration.
Nokia 8.1
After receiving positive reviews for Nokia X7, HMD Global is finally bringing the mid-range smartphone to international markets including India as Nokia 8.1. The Android One smartphone is critically-acclaimed for its premium design, 6.18-inch Full HD+ display, dual rear cameras and a reliable 3,500mAh battery. The international debut of Nokia 8.1 is set for December 6, where we will learn more details about the phone's pricing and availability.
Meizu M16
After an unannounced 18 month break, Meizu is marking its return to the Indian market with the launch of three new phones. The Chinese smartphone maker is expected to launch Meizu M16, a premium OnePlus 6T-rival smartphone, in India on December 5. The handset maker is also expected to launch Meizu M6T, an affordable device, and Meizu 16X, a mid-range smartphone, to compete against Xiaomi in India.
