The smartphone industry is in the middle of much action these days, as companies launch new devices every other day. The frequent launch of new phones is not only giving consumers a wider choice of options, but is also intensifying competition among OEMs. As a result, smartphones have become cheaper and manufacturers are trying to battle on the new fronts of specifications and price wars.
In July, we witnessed launches of several smartphones from various brands. Brands like Xiaomi, BlackBerry, Meizu and Samsung were quite active in the month, but there were many other phones that were released in July.
Listed below are some popular smartphones that made their way to the markets. While some were launched internationally, many handsets were launched in India, which is now the world's second largest market for smartphones, after China.

Following these releases in July, some major announcements in the smartphone space are expected to be made in August. Handsets such as Lenovo K5 Note, Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Oppo F1s and others are also likely to be launched next month, giving more options for shoppers to upgrade from their old smartphones.
