With 2013 coming to an end, it's time to look back at the year's films which made it big at the box office with collections. A few films like "Chennai Express" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" made headlines worldwide and garnered crores at the box office.

Krrish 3: Starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, "Krrish 3" earned ₹244 crore from its four-week run. The film became the highest grosser ever after beating "Chennai Express" lifetime collection of ₹227 crore at the domestic box office. The superhero science fiction film also features Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut in important roles.
Chennai Express: Rohit Shetty's film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, is the second highest grosser of 2013 with ₹227 crore. The film shattered records and became the biggest opener ever with ₹33.12 crore and the fastest film to cross both the ₹100 crore and the ₹200 crore marks, till the release of "Dhoom 3".
Dhoom 3: Featuring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Uday Chopra in the main roles, the film after eight days raked in ₹199.08 crore and counting. The collection of "Dhoom 3" ended the year on a good note. It shattered previous records set by "3 Idiots", "Chennai Express" and "Krrish 3".
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani: Directed by Ayan Mukerji, "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" collected ₹19.45 crore on the opening day. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, settled its lifetime score to ₹188.57 crore. It is the fourth biggest grossing film of the year.
Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela: The epic love story, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, garnered ₹116 crore in its four-week run. "Ram-leela", starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, earned ₹16 crore on its opening day and held a strong position at box office till the fourth week.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: The biopic, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, earned ₹8.65 crore on the opening day. The lifetime collection of the film starring Farhan Akhtar in the lead role stands at ₹108.93 crore.
Grand Masti: Starring Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi, "Grand Masti" became the first adult comedy film to cross the ₹100 crore mark. The lifetime collection of the adult comedy rests at ₹102 crore.
Race 2: Abbas-Mustan's film "Race 2" is the first blockbuster film of the year. It was also the first film of the year to cross the ₹100 crore mark in India. The film, starring Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ameesha Patel and Anil kapoor in the main roles, took its overall India total to ₹100.45 crore.
Aashiqui 2: The romantic drama is one of the blockbuster hits of 2013. The low budget film, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, earned ₹78.42 in its theatrical run.
Satyagraha: The political film directed by Prakash Jha was an average hit. The film has the 10th highest collection in the year. Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Rampal, Amrita Rao and Manoj Bajpai featured in the main roles. The lifetime collection of the film is ₹63.74 crore.
