This month, October, being the month of many festivals, Tier-1 smartphone-makers such as Samsung, Apple, Lenovo's Motorola have lined up a slew of top-end phones to cash-in on the festive season.
Here's the list of the smartphones expected to hit stores in India this month.
Lenovo's Moto Z-
Lenovo-owned Motorola has confirmed to launch the company's 2016 flagship phone Moto Z on October 4. Besides the device, the company will also be releasing value-added Moto Mods accessories - battery packs, 'SoundBoost' with JBL speaker and a kickstand, and a pico projector.
The Moto Z features Quad HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB RAM, 13MP primary camera, 5MP front snapper and a 2,600mAh battery.

Apple iPhone 7 series-
Apple iPhone 7 series is scheduled to made available across both online and offline on October 7. Interested buyers can also book the device on official retail partners and online via Flipkart.

Apple's new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus look almost identical to their predecessor, but internally they have completely new hardware and more enhanced than the 2015-based iPhone 6S series.

Sony Xperia XZ:
Sony previous flagship Xperia X received poor response from the public in India, as it was exorbitantly priced and lacked top-notch processor. Now, the company is ready to release new flagship phone Xperia XZ on October 10 with true premium hardware both inside and outside.
5.0-inch full HD screen and houses the powerful Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage and a 2,900mAh battery.
It also comes with top-of-the-line camera hardware on the back. Xperia XZ boasts a 23MP camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, predictive hybrid auto focus, quick launch (less than 0.03 seconds), 5x clear image zoom, 24mm wide-angle G Lens F2.0 aperture and Pulse LED flash.

Huawei Honor 8-
Last week, Huawei's sub-brand Honor hosted an event in Panaji, Goa to showcase the Honor 8 and confirmed to release the flagship device in the second week of October.
The highlight of Honor 8 is its camera. It boasts wo 12MP cameras placed beside each other on the back with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, BSI CMOS sensor and full HD video recording ability.

Samsung Galaxy Note7-
Samsung was scheduled to release the Galaxy Note7 on September 2, but due to battery issue, it was deferred indefinitely. Now, reports have emerged that the flagship phablet will hit stores just before the Diwali season around the third week of October.

The new Galaxy Note7 sports a 5.7-inch QHD(2K)-based dual-edge curved screen and comes packed with Exynos 8890 CPU, 4GB RAM, 12MP dual-pixel primary camera, 5MP front camera and a 3,500mAh battery with wireless and fast charging technology.
Google Pixel series-
Google is slated to unveil the new smartphone series Pixel and Pixel XL at an event in San Francisco on October 4. Both the devices are expected to be released immediately in developed markets and few weeks later in other regions including India.

Samsung Galaxy On8-
Samsung's new phone Galaxy On8 will be up for grabs on October 2 via Flipkart's Big Billion Days 2016 sale.
5.5-inch Galaxy On7 features a full HD super AMOLED screen, 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP camera with LED flash on the back, 5MP snapper on the front with dedicated LED flash and a 3,300mAh battery.

Coolpad Note 5-
A few days ago, Coolpad unveiled the new Note 5, and it is scheduled to be made available on Amazon India on October 20.
Coolpad Note 5 costs Rs. 10,999, making it the most affordable phone to house 4GB RAM. It also features full HD screen, 13MP primary camera, 8MP shooter on the front and a 4,010mAh battery with quick charge technology.
