The doctors of Lilavati Hospital once again took a step forward in their initiative 'Save and Empower the Girl Child', on Wednesday.
In an eventful evening at the Taj Lands End in Bandra, top Bollywood celebrities and models, including Madhuri Dixit, Preity Zinta, Malaika Arora Khan, Mandira Bedi, Lara Dutta, Isha Kopikar, Swara Bhaskar and Evelyn Sharma walked the ramp, with leading designer Manish Malhotra's lehenga collection.

Actress Lara Dutta expressed her delight of being part of the event. "We love the fuschia lehenga top and golden lehenga "Ready to walk the ramp for lilavati hospitals 'save the girl child' initiative! Thank u Manish Malhotra!" she tweeted.
Speaking at the event Shri Chetan Prabodh Mehta, Reporting Trustee, Lilavati Hospital said: "The child sex ratio in India is at the lowest since independence and has been continuously reducing since the last 50 years. Empowerment is a continuous process and cannot be perceived as a one-time project. We have pledged to do 50,000 free check-ups for women throughout Mumbai. Children are our future and there is lot that we can do to uplift underprivileged children, especially girls."
The event was organised and co-ordinated by Lucky Morani and her team Cineyug Entertainment.
