Fimmaker Mani Ratnam is set to remake his Tamil flick "OK Kanmani" in Hindi and has cast Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. The duo will make a comeback after three years on the big screen with this remake, which has been titled "OK Janu."
In Tamil, the title of the film was "O Kadhal Kanmani," which meant "Oh Love, Apple of my eye", and thus, the makers translated the movie title to "OK Janu" in the Hindi remake. Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen starrer was a blockbuster hit that released last year.
After "Aashiqui 2," Aditya and Shraddha will reunite in this flick, which is a cute love story about a young couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai. Aditya-Shraddha, who were rumoured to be dating earlier, have been one of the most loved pairs in Bollywood.
"It's great that people have accepted us. I think both of us are right for these roles. I am very excited to be back with Sharddha because it's a great project for both of us to come together again with," Aditya said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Aditya's film "Fitoor" is set to be released on 12 February. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Tabu in pivotal roles. Aditya and Katrina were recently spotted promoting their film in Jaipur, where the actor surprised Katrina with a truck-full of roses on Rose Day.
On the other hand, Shraddha is currently shooting for two projects – "Baaghi" and "Rock On 2." Shraddha will share screen space with Tiger Shroff in "Baaghi" and will star along side Farhan Akhtar in "Rock On 2." She has also signed "Half Girlfriend" opposite Arjun Kapoor.
