Times Mobile Ltd (TML) has introduced a new gifting and greetings app called GreetZAP.
The GreetZAP app shows off the new concept of Voice Cards which would enable users to record and send greetings to loved ones on various occasions like Christmas, New Year and Valentine's Day. The service is currently launched for Android devices and Apple's iPhone will get the app in the coming days, said the company.
"We at TML are focusing at both entertainment and utility services for users. With the increase in adoption of mobile internet, we believe that greetings as a category will see a major shift from online to mobile based usage. Accordingly, we are positioning GreetZAP as a one stop destination for mobile greetings and gifting," said Ajay Vaishnavi, director, telecom, reported Afaqs.
The app targets the age group of 15-35 years. Android users can download the GreetZAP from Google Play store for free and send greetings free of cost. The app service includes SMS greetings, music greetings and voice greetings and will be available in English, Hindi, Kannada, Oriya and many other languages. Non-android users can get the app through www.greetzap.com or m.greetzap.com.
"It is an inherent need of every individual to greet his or her loved one on special occasions. With Voice Cards, we have brought a new way to express feelings which today's youth, who are very connected and tech-savvy, will love to use. With GreetZAP app, they can do a lot more than sending boring text messages while greeting their near and dear ones," said Vaishnavi.
Users will also be able to send physical cards to their loved ones using the in-app purchase.
