After a month of launch, the new iPhone 7 series finally hit stores in India on Friday at 7:00 pm. The timing of the launch in the evening, had led many to believe that Apple's new phone would not elicit good response from the Indian public this year.

In 2015, Apple's authorised shops were well-lit with attractive decorations and opened at mid night to a cheering crowd reminiscent of the long queues seen in the past just after the launch of a new iPhone in the West.

To everyone's surprise, Apple stores witnessed long queues for iPhone 7 series at all major metros across India. With online retail sellers Flipkart, Snapdeal and carrier network Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance jumping in to offer discounts and lucrative tariff plans, the iPhone 7 series became too irresistible for many.

Overwhelmed by the good response in India, Tim Cook Apple CEO, took to Twitter, to thank fans for their support.

Apple's new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus look almost identical to their predecessor in terms of exterior body, but internally they have completely new hardware such as processor, camera, RAM, storage and battery capacity. Even the build quality is superior compared to the iPhone 6S series.

Apple Watch series 2:

Apple's new Watch series houses an upgraded S2 dual-core processor, which is said to be twice faster than the predecessor. Its display has 1,000 nits, two times brighter than the first generation Watch.

It also comes with in-built GPS and water-proof certification, but it is more rugged than the iPhone 7 series. Watch series 2 users can wear them to swim, as it can survive 50 meters underwater. Based on the variant, it cost anywhere between Rs.32,900 and Rs. 1,14,900.
