Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer Tiger Zinda Hai will undoubtedly be one of the biggest releases of 2017. Slated for a December 22 release, the movie saw its advance booking start on Sunday, suggesting that it will witness a massive opening at the box office.
With so much craze around Tiger Zinda Hai, the movie will likely beat Sultan's opening collection. The 2016 blockbuster, starring Salman and Anushka Sharma, had collected Rs 36.54 crore net at the domestic market on its first day.
Salman and Katrina's movie has already created a lot of hype and curiouity among fans. It will be after five years that this pair is making a comeback on screen.
They were last seen together in the first instalment of this franchise — Ek Tha Tiger — which was also a blockbuster hit. Ek Tha Tiger earned Rs 32.93 crore on its first day. If the first instalment earned such big amount, Tiger Zinda Hai will definitely be closer to Rs 40 crore on its opening day.
Salman's flop movie Tubelight can earn around Rs 21 crore on its first day, which is another reason that Tiger Zinda Hai is tipped to make its double. And the result of the advance booking hints that the film will be a super duper hit at the box office.
The gold class tickets of the movie, which will cost a whopping amount, shows "almost full" and "filling fast" at multiplexes.
The afternoon shows of Tiger Zinda Hain – GOLD class – cost Rs 1,000-2,400. Interestingly, people have booked even these high-priced tickets this weekend. The normal tickets are mostly sold out in theatres in the metropolitan cities — Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.
