Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer "Baaghi" has been doing brilliant business at the box office and the makers of the movie are planning to make a sequel of the film. However, no concrete decision to make "Baaghi 2" has been made yet.
"We just set out to make this one but right now, I would not lie. We have been talking about a sequel just because of the kind of love that we got. It's been a casual conversation though," director Sabbir Khan told Indo-Asian News Service.
After making his directorial debut with the movie "Kambakkht Ishq," starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sabbir turned towards newcomers like Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon for his second film "Heropanti." While the first movie bombed at the box office, "Heropanti" did well commercially.
When asked if he prefers newcomers over stars, the filmmaker told the news agency, "When I thought of making a film with a newcomer, there was greed of glory that I can be in the forefront and make a film that people love. Sometimes, there are pros and cons working with stars. You have to make a film around them, but sometimes you can reinvent the actors so it works both the ways."
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Baaghi" released on April 29 and has been having a phenomenal run at the box office. The action-romantic film became the third-highest first-week Bollywood grosser of 2016 after Akshay Kumar's "Airlift" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan." "Baaghi" had made a collection of Rs. 59.72 crores nett at the domestic market in its opening week.
