Salman Khan's "Sultan" is undoubtedly one of the big releases of the year. And as trailers attached to it will get a fair amount of prominence, the makers have begun cozying up to the producers of the sports-drama film.
Remo D'Souza wishes to release "A Flying Jatt" trailer with the prints of "Sultan," the Asian Age reported. The makers had earlier planned on putting it out with "Udta Punjab," but the idea was dropped after the film courted a massive censor board-related controversy.
"Remo will be meeting Salman soon to discuss this option and see if it's possible. He feels that this would be a great way to give the movie a good push before its release. So a call will be taken by the makers of Sultan soon," the leading daily quoted a source as saying.
The talking, for now, is mostly being done by Remo as he shares a rapport with "Sultan" actor Salman Khan from their "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" days. Producer Ekta Kapoor has never worked with the superstar and so she is staying away from the matter, a source added.
All said and done, attaching "A Flying Jatt" trailer could turn out to be a difficult feat because Yash Raj Films usually screens trailers of films made by their production house. "Generally YRF only attach trailers of their own films with their releases so it's not clear yet. If not in the start, the trailer may be played post interval, which means they will have to approach the multiplexes directly," another source elaborated.
In other news, "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," "Shivaay" trailers and "Befikre" teaser could release with the sports-drama film on July 6.
