Kamal Haasan, whose "Thoongavanam" was released last week, will reportedly team up with Gautham Menon again. They are collaborating for the sequel of a blockbuster Tamil movie.
They are not teaming up for the sequel to their "Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu", rather for a blockbuster that was made in 1994. Gautham Menon will reportedly direct Kamal Haasan in the sequel to "Seevalaperi Pandi".
"Seevalaperi Pandi" was directed by Prathap K Pothan and produced by PG Srikanth. It was written by K Rajeswar and had Napoleon, Saranya, Ahana, Chandrasekhar and others in the cast.
It was a movie based on a real-life personality named Pandi from Seevalaperi of Tirunelvelli district in Tamil Nadu. The producer of the first instalment was interested to making a sequel and reportedly was in talks with Gautham Menon and Kamal Haasan. It appears that they are likely to team up again as the subject has fascinated both Menon and Haasan.
Currently, Gautham Menon is busy with "Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada" starring Simbu and Pallavi Subhash. The movie is expected to be ready for release in early 2016. The proposed Kamal Haasan starrer might take up after the release of Silambarasan starrer, say rumour mills.
On the other end, there are also chances of Gautham Menon moving on to a multilingual movie featuring Naga Chaitanya, Puneet Rajkumar, Allu Arjun and Fahadh.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan's latest movie "Thoongavanam" is doing decent business at the box office. The movie, which was released last week, is his third release in 2015 after "Uttama Villain" and "Papanasam". His "Vishwaroopam 2" is still in the cold storage and there are no signs of its release in the coming months.
