In the video, Fahadh's character is heard asking Suraj if he is from Vaikom in Kerala. He adds that he visited the place during Vaikom Ashtami, one of the main festivals at the Vaikom Mahadeva Temple, to which the latter replies: "For what?" Earlier, in an exclusive conversation with International Business Times India, Dileesh had said that as the title says, the film has a material evidence and an eyewitness as its main factors.
"I am not sure which genre this movie falls in, of course it has the elements of a family drama. When I heard the story of 'Maheshinte Prathikaram', I felt it interesting and made it into a film. Similarly, when I heard this story, I thought it should be made into a film. It is a small movie of a middle class family made on a small canvas. It's a story related to the law and order of the society."
Thondimuthalum Dhriksakshiyum also stars Soubin Shahir, Alencier Ley, and Nimisha Sajayan in main roles. Sajeev Pazhoor has penned the script, and Bijibal has composed the music for the movie. Rajeev Ravi, Syam Pushkaran and Kiran Das have handled cinematography, creative direction and editing, respectively. The film has been scheduled to hit the screens as an Eid release in June.
