Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" opens in theatres on Jan. 26, 2017, same day as "Kaabil" and "Baadshaho." While Hrithik Roshan's film has rolled and the team hopes to wrap it up as per schedule, Ajay Devgn's project may not be ready in time, say sources.
Talking to DNA, an insider informed that Ajay will be working on two films simultaneously — "Baadshaho" and Remo D'Souza's untitled film — after "Shivaay" comes to a close in June. His tight schedule may come in the way of the film; the makers are now eyeing March 10, 2017 as a probable release date for "Baadshaho," added the source.
"Ajay is now shooting his directorial venture Shivaay which he will wrap by June. He begins shooting for Baadshaho in July end- early August. His film with Remo D'Souza co-starring Sooraj Pancholi too goes on floors this September. So he will be juggling between the two films and it is highly improbable that Ajay's Baadshaho will be ready in time for a January release. That's why they have taken a call to shift the release date," the daily quoted the source as saying.
Interestingly, "Baadshaho" director Milan Luthria told the Asian Age that their project will not be moved as they had announced the date long ago. Will the films clash at the box-office or not? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Hrithik has begun shooting for "Kaabil," in which he plays a visually impaired person on the lookout for the murderers of his girlfriend, to be essayed by Yami Gautam. The team may not have spilled the beans on the storyline, but word has it that Yami's character is killed right in the first half. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film has everyone's attention courtesy the intense teaser, which has garnered over two million hits already.
