Salman Khan seems to have mellowed with age, or at least that's what the rumour mills are hinting at. The superstar has asked the "Kick 2" team to tone down the action a few notches.
A source told Deccan Chronicle the 50-year-old has been looking to cut down on action films and work on films that deliver social messages. "He met the makers of Kick recently and asked them to rework the draft of the film in a way that it excludes unnecessary violence. It is still in the scripting stage, so it isn't much of a hassle to make changes, [sic]" the insider said.
The film in question has been associated with a number of speculations over the past year, and its leading lady seems to be one of the most-written-about aspects. Kriti Sanon, Amy Jackson and Jacqueline Fernandez have been grabbing headlines in connection with "Kick 2."
Amy, who is set to sizzle in "2.0," once expressed her desire to work Salman. She told Catch News she was offered "Kick" but couldn't take it up as she had already signed a three-year contract with the makers of "I."
Charming "Dilwale" actress Kriti came in the frame courtesy director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala, the man who launched this beautiful face. However, there has been no confirmation on this development yet.
Jacqueline was out of the picture the day Salman insisted that the sequel would feature a fresh pairing. However, the Sri Lankan beauty has been hoping she'd grab a special part in it. "For me, 'Kick' was the biggest movie of my career. It changed my life. It's sad that I won't be in Kick 2. But hopefully, I will be able to do a special appearance or an item number in Kick 2," she had told Filmfare last year.
Salman is working nights to wrap up "Sultan" as per schedule. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the action-drama features him and Anushka Sharma as wrestlers.
