The trailer launch of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film "Bajirao Mastani" was held recently. However, Priyanka Chopra, who is part of the film, was unable to attend it.
Priyanka is currently in Montreal, shooting for her American television series "Quantico". Due to her busy schedule, the actress went through a difficult phase shooting for "Bajirao Mastani".
As everyone knows, Bhansali is a strict filmmaker, and thus PeeCee was on the verge of giving up on the third day of the shoot.
Ranveer Singh revealed the story during the trailer launch event. "On the third day, Priyanka came to me with tears rolling down her eyes, saying: 'You and Deepika are doing your second film with Sanjayji, but I can't do all this now; it's too tough for me'," he said.
Priyanka, along with "Bajirao Mastani" shoot, was also working on "Dil Dhadakne Do", "Jai Gangaajal" and "Quantico" simultaneously.
However, she couldn't attend the trailer launch on Friday, choosing to join the press conference through video call. "I miss being there," said a teary-eyed Priyanka.
"Actually Ranveer and Deepika did all the hard work and I used to walk on the sets in a 11-yard navari sari — that was the task. I had a blast doing this film," she added.
Ranveer, the male lead, is all set to capture hearts with his royal look, while Deepika Padukone as Mastaani is seen in a never-before avatar. The actress looks gorgeous and fearless as a warrior in the film's trailer.
Also, Priyanka, as Bajirao's first wife Kashibai, looks impressive as a traditional Maharashtrian.
Bhansali's most ambitious project is based on the love story of warrior Peshwa Bajirao I and his second wife Mastani, played by Ranveer and Deepika, respectively.
"Bajirao Mastani" will clash with the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer "Dilwale" at the box office, with both films releasing on 18 December.
