Harshaali Malhotra, who stole all hearts with her performance in Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", was initially supposed to appear in a small role in "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". In fact, the child artist had also shot for the print of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" but she rejected the film after she was offered the pivotal role in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".
Harshaali's mother revealed that she was supposed to do a small role of Swara Bhaskar's childhood in "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", which also features Salman Khan, but when they got the offer from the makers of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", they opted for the latter, with mutual consent of all parties.
"We had shot for the print bit of the role of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". She was supposed to play Swara's childhood version. But then later we got a call from the makers of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". When things got finalised there, we spoke to Salman about how unfair it would be to have a minuscule appearance in "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". He too agreed and that is when we told Sooraj Barjatya. He was humble and understood our point. That is how we backed out," Harshaali's mother was quoted by Pinkvilla.
She further revealed that the little girl was also offered a role in another film in which she was asked to play Katrina Kaif's childhood but they refused that also on some valid grounds. "When the teaser of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was released, Harshaali was approached to play Katrina Kaif's childhood role in a film. But again, I rejected it because I don't want Harshaali to do a 5-6 minutes appearance. And also, it would have been too much of a stress for her", added the little actor's mother.
Harshaali Malhotra and Salman Khan's chemistry in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" touched everyone's heart and the little girl instantly became a star.
