Salman Khan's "Sultan" needs a leading lady by the end of this month, but unfortunately the makers haven't had much luck finding the perfect face.
Several names have been associated with the Abbas Ali Zafar directorial so far, of which some are said to have rejected it as well. Deepika Padukone is sitting right on top of that list, reported Spotboye.
The "Bajirao Mastani" actress rejected the action drama as it didn't have much for her to do. She may have a fairly free calendar, except for her Hollywood project which is to roll out sometime in February, but is taking measured steps.
Deepika is on top of her game with a string of commercially and critically acclaimed films behind her, and so isn't very keen on taking risks at this point. However, she has expressed an interest in working with the superstar and also spoken at length about "Sultan", confirming that she hasn't signed it.
"Hmmm. I won't comment on it as it's not right to talk about films other than the films that you are doing. And since I haven't signed any films at the moment," DNA quoted her saying.
In other news, "Bigg Boss 9" contestant Mandana Karimi and Scarlett Wilson of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" are two other names which have, so far, been attached to "Sultan". Interestingly, there are high chances of the Iranian beauty being a part of it.
Scheduled for an Eid release, Salman Khan's film may clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees".
