Salman Khan has agreed to play the antagonist in "Dhoom Reloaded: The Chase Continues." The action-thriller will apparently be shot in America.
Interestingly, there are conflicting reports about the location. While Filmfare claimed it is South America where the high-octane chases and other such scenes are to be filmed, Catch News said it's the North.
Also, the magazine in its article mentioned that Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor will be helming the project, the latter had a different story to tell. Because the filmmaker will be working on "Thug," which stars Hrithik Roshan and is produced by Yash Raj Films, he will not be able to take up the franchise film, the web portal reported.
This news comes a few months after sources said that Salman has shown interest in playing a "cool, stylish villain," few of the attributes the antagonists of the "Dhoom" franchise are known for. John Abraham, Hrithik and Aamir Khan were styled differently, which was why their characters had a certain coolness about them.
"Salman wants to play a cool, stylish villain. He has never played one before. His negative role in Race 3 is almost finalised, but discussions are still on with Aditya Chopra for Dhoom:4. The issue is a financial one where Salman wants a stake in D:4, just like Aamir had in Dhoom:3. Salman wants the same profit-sharing ratio that was offered to the D:3 star. Once that is finalised, he's on," DNA quoted an insider as saying.
In other news, Salman is gearing up for "Sultan," which arrives in theatres on July 7. The 50-year-old actor will be seen playing a wrestling champion who fights his inner battles and opponents in the ring with equal grit and determination.
