OnePlus 3 has won deep recognition and earned the title for being one of the top smartphones in 2016. The demand for the Chinese company's latest flagship killer has grown immensely ever since its release earlier this year. But the company has been in the news lately for a new variant of the OnePlus 3 smartphone, which is not due for the next couple of weeks.
While there is a lot of buzz around the new OnePlus 3 variant, rumours have suggested that it will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, Optic AMOLED display and be called OnePlus 3S or OnePlus 3 Plus. But some new evidence has come to light regarding what the new phone might be called.
According to one of the OnePlus developers, who accidentally leaked the name of the device on Weibo on Friday, the upcoming smartphone will be called OnePlus 3T, Phone Arena reported. Since nothing is official from the company's end, this is the closest we can get on the new OnePlus 3 variant's existence.
The Weibo post has since been taken down without a trace, but using the OnePlus 3T for sharing an update on social media is a sign the smartphone is not too far from launch. Besides the phone's chipset and the display panel, nothing much is known about the phone.
According to Android Headlines, the phone might come with a metal body just like the original OnePlus 3 and run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Even if the company chooses to go with the same design, there will be many takers.
In our review of the OnePlus 3 smartphone, we found it extremely worth for the price. It has top-notch features and one of the best cameras and battery in the market. The device sports premium add-ons such as fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, USB Type-C, NFC, Dirac HD Sound and dual microphone with noise cancellation, which we expect the rumoured OnePlus 3T to have at launch.
