Salman Khan's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will have a grand release across India this Diwali. The makers will release the Telugu dubbed version of the family drama in South on 12 November along with the Hindi version.
And for the Telugu version, Salman has personally asked south superstar Ram Charan Teja to dub for his character.
"Salman Khan personally called Ram Charan and requested him to dub for his character in the Telugu version and Ram Charan agreed," a source told Deccan Chronicle.
It is known to all that Salman and Chiranjeevi's family are close to each other, but this is not the reason why Salman approached Ram Charan for dubbing.
Salman's blockbuster movie "Maine Pyar Kiya" was also released in Telugu version in all the main cities in united Andhra Pradesh. The film, which was titled as "Prema Pavuralu", had a theatrical run of 365 days. Also, "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" had a good run at the box office when released in Telugu version.
And since "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is also about family drama, Salman requested the "Bruce Lee - The Fighter" actor to dub for it.
"Salman Khan requested Ram Charan with keeping in mind his old films' success," the source added.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", directed by Sooraj Barjatya, will release on Diwali worldwide. The film features Salman in double role and Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, Armaan Kohli and Anupam Kher in key roles.
