Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's friendship has seen its fair share of highs and lows. And just when everyone thought they have buried the hatchet and are ready to move towards restoring the equation they once shared, news of a brewing cold war between them have emerged.
The "Bigg Boss 9" jig was real where they went all out to tell the world they were finally back to being best buds, but the "Raees" and "Sultan" clash got in the way. "Things aren't the way like they were a few months back. Their fun and banter on the Bigg Boss special episode was genuine, but now they have a reason to hold a grouse against one another. Both their films are releasing on the same day and neither of them is ready to opt out of the race," BollywoodLife quoted a source as saying.
There are a bunch of narratives and contradicting accounts to the much-written about clash. Shah Rukh once said he was friends with most of the "Sultan" team adding that they could have an extensive chat and reschedule the dates. But "Raees" producer Ritesh Sidhwani said their film won't be moved to another date.
Meanwhile, there was a strong buzz that the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial could be delayed as the makers took time to time to finalise its lead actress, Anushka Sharma. But the latest update suggests "Sultan" is right on track. "Salman is going all out to ensure that there is no delay from his end. He's been disciplined in terms of meeting the planned schedule and has promised Adi that Sultan will release on Eid," another insider told the web portal.
