Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan's ugly, sly altercation had reached unimaginable levels when the former gave out repeated statements about the "Kaabil" actor's highly-controversial tweet. Already out of Roshan's camp, she will not be seen in any of the Khan films as well.
A source told DNA that the snarky, oblique one-liners has not just ruined her chances of sharing screen space with Roshan, but also with a lot of his other industry friends. There was a time when she had bad-mouthed Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, and from what has been reported, it didn't quite go down well with the top league of actors.
"Also, Kangana has started picking female-oriented scripts and in films starring Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh, there is little for the heroine to do. Now Hrithik Roshan too has apparently told friends and filmmakers that he doesn't want to hear the 'K' name anywhere near him. So where does that leave her?" the source added.
Fresh out of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" success last year, Ranaut said her film didn't have a Khan and yet it was appreciated. "When you are doing larger-than-life films with superstars you don't get equal opportunities. Roles are written for them because the audience goes to watch them. But I want a role which is of equal importance," she told The Indian Express.
A few months later, it was reported she wanted to do a film with Shah Rukh Khan and was pretty desperate about grabbing the lead role in a movie that was to be directed by Aanand L Rai. SRK almost confirmed that he could do it, but there's been no news of the leading lady yet.
