On completion of Kabir Khan's "Tubelight," Salman Khan will start "Dabangg 3." Up until a few days ago, it was being said that he would be taking up Rajkumar Santoshi's film after completing Kabir's project, but that apparently is nowhere in the picture.
According to a Box Office India report, the comic-caper with Rajkumar has been put on hold and the director has been dropped from the as-yet-untitled project. Apparently, Salman was miffed after the senior filmmaker failed to produce a bound script with the changes he had suggested.
Meanwhile, casting speculations are on for "Dabangg 3." A few days ago, there was a strong buzz that Parineeti Chopra may be pulled on board to play Rajjo, a character that was brilliantly essayed by Sonakshi Sinha in the previous films.
However, the news turned out to be false. She told Pinkvilla: "This is news to me also. I read about it last night. In fact, I got a few messages from my team as well asking what's going on. But I was as clueless as them. That film is in its scripting stage but if that film happens, I would love to do it."
The third instalment is a prequel and will focus on Chulbul Pandey's younger days.
Meanwhile, Salman begins "Tubelight" on July 28. Director Kabir has even shared a photo from the location and the view is stunning, to say the least. Said to be based on the Sino-Indian war of 1962, the project is taking off without a leading lady. Sources have claimed the unit is looking at signing up a Chinese actress.
