As the smartphone technology advances and the specifications get superior, the capacity of the phone to run longer slowly declines. Remember those classic monochromic graphic display smartphones like Nokia 1100, which would last for days without needing a charge, well times have changed. It would be a miracle if a smartphone these days last two straight days.
But not every company is after high-specs, high-res displays and faster processors. A Chinese company you probably never heard of called YAAO launched a new smartphone 6000 Plus. The biggest highlight of the phone is its 10,900mAh battery, which in perspective has 10 times more capacity than Apple's iPhone 7.
If that sounds impressive then be prepared for some bad news. The handset is likely to be exclusively sold in China. It is listed on JD.com for around $220. But the rest of the specs of the YAAO 6000 Plus aren't truly impressive.
The 6000 Plus by YAAO is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core chipset, 1GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. The device has a 5.5-inch HD display, a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front snapper. By the looks of the phone's design, which is quite appealing in photos (you can see them here), the battery appears to be removable.
Some unanswered questions about YAAO 6000 Plus include the time it would take to fully charge and how many hours it would last on a single charge. Considering the size of the battery, be prepared to invest quite some time in charging it as there is no mention of fasting charging technology before using it for days (hopefully).
