Amid reports of a cold war between Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, an old photograph of the two actors, which has been doing the rounds, shows the thick bond the "Sultan" and "Mohenjo Daro" actors shared at one time. The photo shows a bald Salman posing with actor Nikhil Dwivedi and young Hrithik.
Nikhil shared the old picture of the bald Salman with Hrithik on Instagram with a post that read, "#Throwback of Throwbacks #Struggle time #bumped into the superstars of the day #salmankhan was rockstar then, he is rockstar now!!"
The photo will definitely take you down the memory lane and is among the rare images of Salman and Hrithik sharing the same frame. Salman, Hrithik and Nikhil look unrecognisable in the throwback photo, but it is the "Sultan" of Bollywood who stole the limelight with his bald look, and leather jacket, which showed his abs.
The photo seems to have been taken in the 2000s, when Hrithik made his debut as an actor, while Nikhil was struggling and Salman was ruling the industry. Hrithik and Salman shared a good bond until recently when reports of their stiffened relationship started doing the rounds.
During the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2016, grapevine was abuzz with whispers that Hrithik, Salman Khan avoided each other throughout the event. The reason was said to be Daisy Shah. Salman had suggested Daisy's name to Hrithik for his dance segment at the finale of IIFA Awards.
"Obviously, Daisy performing with a huge star like Hrithik would thrust her into the limelight. It was done by Salman with the intention of helping out his protégée. But Hrithik didn't warm to the idea," DNA quoted a source as saying.
Salman was left fuming after Hrithik performed sans Daisy. "He felt that if the actor had any reservations, he should have been honest about it and he would have respected his decision," the source added.
