Xiaomi turns everything it touches into affordable gold. If that doesn't make sense, how about bringing intense competition to the world of smartphones, wearables and now televisions and dominating each category. Amid rumours about a new Redmi phone bring excitement among fans, the company has some great news for its consumers in India.

Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain shared a teaser confirming the release of a new Mi TV in India. The official Twitter hand for Mi TV India also shared series of teasers, which confirm the imminent arrival of the 65-inch Mi TV 4.

The most recent tweet from the company's handle confirmed that the Mi TV 4 65-inch Smart LED television is going to be launched in India soon, but the exact release date hasn't been revealed. Even though the company or India head doesn't specifically mention that it is the Mi TV 4 65-inch model that's coming, all hints point towards it.

The upcoming Mi TV's launch is being tagged under #TheBiggerPicture hashtag. Currently, the biggest television size offered by Xiaomi in India is 55 inches and the next logical upgrade is to a 65-inch model.

Now, Xiaomi has two models in China with 65-inch displays, one is flat and the other is curved. Seeing the company has only launched select TV models in India, which it deems to be successful, the flat 65-inch gains most votes. It's worth pointing out that Xiaomi also has a 75-inch Mi TV in China, but that's a model to be launched another time.

Speaking of the upcoming TV's specs and features, Xiaomi Mi TV 4 65-inch, like other Mi TVs, runs on the Android-based PatchWall interface. The smart TV was launched in China last November, featuring a slim, bezel-less design, which is just 4.9mm thin at its thinnest point. It comes with Dolby Atmos 3D spherical surround sound and 4K resolution. The Mi TV 4 65-inch shares the same features as the 55-inch variant that's available in India.

Xiaomi's value-for-money TVs have proven to be quite popular in India, which has helped the brand gaina significant advantage over market leaders such as Samsung, Sony and LG. In fact, the aggressive approach by Xiaomi in the TV space made the company India's leading smart TV brand in just six months of launch and sold 1 million TVs in just nine months.

It will be interesting to see how Xiaomi will price its 65-inch Mi TV 4 in India. The 55-inch model is priced at Rs 49,999, making it one of the cheapest in its range. Recently, the company slashed prices of its 32-inch Mi LED TV 4C Pro and Mi LED Smart TV 4A alongside Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49-inch following GST reduction on TVs from 28 to 18 percent.
