Tamil superstar Chiyaan Vikram, who was the chief guest of the recently concluded Asianet Film Awards 2016, has been garnering praise from all quarters for the way he treats his fans.

During the Asianet Film Award show, a fan reached the front row where Vikram was sitting with other celebrities and suddenly hugged the actor shocking everybody present there. Security officers and others sprung into action and tried to resist him, but Vikram was kind enough to stop the security and allowed his ardent fan to hug and kiss him. The actor even took a selfie with his fan making the youngster's dream come true.

The incident was telecasted on Asianet Sunday, Feb. 21. Soon, Vikram's positive attitude towards his fans became the hot topic of discussion for social media users with many sharing the video of the incident.

The star-studded event was also attended by Trisha, Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Nivin Pauly, Parvathy, Sai Pallavi, Aju Varghese, Vijay Yesudas, Yesudas, Innocent, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Namitha Pramod, Meena, Gopi Sunder, Kamal, Reenu Mathews, Priyanka, Sshivada Nair, Joju George, Biju Menon, Navya Nair, Akshara Kishor, Kalabhavan Shajon, Pranav Mohanlal, Jomon T John, Anusree, Sheela, Meera Jasmine, Sibi Malayil, Vimala Raman, Stephen Devassy, Nikitha Thukral and Kalaranjini, among many others.

While Prithviraj and Parvathy bagged the best actor awards, Nivin was selected as the popular actor during the show, which honoured Mohanlal with the Millenium Star award. Mohanlal, who completed his 36 years in the industry, entertained the audience with his special performance during the award night.
