Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer "Jagga Jasoos" has already been delayed and the lead pair's breakup had suggested that the film's completion will take even more time. However, director Anurag Basu said that Ranbir and Katrina's split has actually benefitted the movie.
Ranbir and Katrina were in relationship when the shooting for "Jagga Jasoos" began in 2014. Even after two years, some portions of the film's shoot are yet to be done and the makers have decided to release the movie on April. 7, 2017.
Ranbir and Katrina's breakup in the recent past had given rise to rumours that the release of "Jagga Jasoos" will be pushed further. But it looks like the separation has actually worked in favour of the director.
"Like everybody else, even I didn't know how it would be. But when we resumed the shoot, and the first shot happened, everything was okay. Both actors became more conscious and more professional. I think they gave more to the film, post their breakup than before," Anurag told DNAwhen asked if he was worried about the shoot after their split.
Talking about the delay in the film's shoot, the director said that he consciously delayed the movie as he wanted to release it after Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and that he was in no rush.
Ranbir and Katrina were earlier seen together in "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani" and "Rajneeti." Now, the two will share the screen space in "Jagga Jasoos" that happens to be a romantic comedy drama. While Katrina and Sidharth Malhotra's "Baar Baar Dekho" had released on Sept. 9, Ranbir's multi-starrer "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" will hit the screens on Diwali this year.
