Television heartthrob Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava (Ankita Karan Patel), who got married on May 3, 2015, celebrated their first wedding anniversary at the comfort of their home. The couple hosted a party at their residence for their close friends.
Talking about how they celebrated the special day, Ankita told India Forums that since Karan's father was not in the city, they didn't plan a big party, instead celebrated it with their friends. "My father in law is not in India right now. So we did not plan a big party. We invited over a few close friends, most of who are not from the industry," Ankita told the web portal.
"We both have ordered some stuff for each other. But they have not reached us. So I won't be able to reveal what gift it is," the actress said when asked about their anniversary gifts. In the past one year, both Karan and Ankita have also been fighting all odds to put an end to the constant speculations of trouble in their married life.
Last year, Karan and Ankita's wedding reports sparked a controversy, as the actor was said to be in a serious relationship with Kamya Punjabi before meeting Ankita. Since then, rumours of trouble in Karan and Ankita's married life have been doing the rounds.
Recently, Karan's ex-girlfriend Kamya raised quite a few eyebrows at the Box Cricket League 2 (BCL 2) when she openly expressed her love for Karan. The actress even went on to hug Karan for his team's excellent performance, which left the "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor blushing.
Later, when Tellychakkar.com contacted Kamya, the actress who never shies away from speaking her mind, said that her love for Karan will not change although she doesn't want him back in her life. "I have always been open about my love for Karan. My love doesn't change with seasons," she told the web portal.
