With Kaabil, Hrithik Roshan has attempted to experiment with a role he has never had the opportunity to play on-screen before. Because the actor will be seen playing a visually impaired man in the Sanjay Gupta-directed film, he had to prepare quite extensively for the part and fortunately, had some help from Al Pacino.
No, the Hollywood actor wasn't around to help him to gear up for the role. Roshan took some inspiration from one of Pacino's movies. "Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman was probably the only performance I took note of before doing this," Roshan told NDTV at media preview of the Kaabil trailer launch.
Elaborating on his experience of working on the film, Roshan said that the action was most challenging, but the dance routines were "fulfilling." "The moves, the emotions that have gone into the dancing in this film, it was really special. The dancing in this film is my favourite amongst all my works. Ahmed (Khan) has done such a fantastic job," he added.
Kaabil, scheduled to be released on January 26, is a love story with substantial amount of thrills. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film also stars Yami Gautam and Ronit Roy in key roles.
In other news, Roshan needs to score with this film as Mohenjo Daro failed to work its charm at the box office. Although, a couple of flops shouldn't really impact his superstardom, but a hit is needed to give his career a little nudge.
Interestingly, Kaabil is out with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, which may prove to be quite a threat for the Roshan-starrer at the ticket window. Raees is one of the most-awaited films of 2017 and has been delayed for almost a year, which is why chances are that the audience may pick Raees over Kaabil.
