The teaser of "Theri" is the second Tamil movie to cross the 1-crore mark on YouTube after Chiyaan Vikram-starrer "I." The video of the Vijay-starrer also holds the record for garnering the highest number of likes for a Tamil film by getting 2.96 lakh likes and 55,000+ dislikes so far.
It needs to be seen whether "Theri" will break the teaser record of "I," which has got 1.1 crore hits till date with a little less than 50,000 likes and 3600+ dislikes.
The teaser of "Theri" had given hints of amassing huge response online when it garnered over 10 lakh hits in just 12 hours after its release. It had crossed 20 lakh hits in 24 hours and in four days the video reached the 50-lakh mark.
The teaser of "Theri" has all the ingredients that Vijay's fans love to see in his film. His stylish looks backed with good dialogues impressed the viewers in the teaser.

Meanwhile, the trailer of "Theri" also has been received well by the Tamil audience. It was released March 20 and so far it has garnered over 70 lakh hits on YouTube. The video has got close to 2.20 lakh likes and above 18,000 dislikes.
On the other hand, "Theri" and its Telugu version "Policeodu" have been censored and both the versions have bagged a "U" certificate. It will hit the screens April 14.
"Theri" is produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu and directed by Atlee Kumar. Samantha, Amy Jackson, Mahendran, Prabhu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, KS Ravikumar, Rajendran, Kaali Venkat and others are in the cast.
