After filming some action sequences in Goa, the makers of Vijay-starrer "Theri" are now busy filming the climax action sequence in Chennai, in which the Ilayathalapathy is performing hair-raising stunts.
The climax is being shot on a huge set erected in a factory in Chennai. Hollywood stunt choreographer Kaloyan Vodenicharov is directing the action sequence, and many Hollywood stuntmen are taking part in the extensive action portions.
It is a fiery climax sequence and the makers have shelled out huge money on the climax alone. Vijay is doing some sequences on his own without using body doubles, say rumour mills.
Kaloyan Vodenicharov had recently worked on the blockbuster "Baahubali", and more recently teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan's Bollywood movie "Dilwale". The other action sequences in "Theri" have been directed by Dilip Subbarayan.
This is a final schedule of the talkie portions and the team will next focus on the filming of the songs in January 2016.
"Theri" features Samantha and Amy Jackson in the female leads. Prabhu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Mahendran, Rajendran, Azhagam Perumal, Kaali Venkat and others are also in the cast. The film has GV Prakash Kumar's music, George C Williams' cinematography and Anthony L Ruben's editing.
Kalaipuli S Dhanu is producing "Theri", which has been written and directed by Atlee Kumar. It is a cop story revolving around Vijay and Amy Jackson, who are going to be seen as police officers.
"Theri" will hit the screens next summer.
