A new photo of "Theri" has given a hint about the character played by one of the two lead actresses in the Vijay-starrer.
The picture reveals that IPS officer A Vijay Kumar is going to marry R Mithra, MBBS. It means one of the two actresses, who will marry Ilaythalapathy's character, will be seen in the role of a doctor.
It has been widely speculated that Amy Jackson, for the first time in her career, will play the role of a cop in forthcoming movie "Theri". Hence, people believe Samantha might be playing the role of a doctor. However, there is no official confirmation on the issue yet.
Meanwhile, the shooting of "Theri" has come to an end. The final schedule was shot in Ladakh and the team is now ready for post-production work. The movie, which was earlier called "Vijay 59", was launched in June, and regular shooting kicked off in July. The makers had planned for 140 days of shooting, and it has apparently been completed as planned.
Meanwhile, the audience is keenly awaiting the teaser release of "Theri". It was supposed to release on 14 January for Pongal. But the plans underwent changes as the shooting got a little delayed. It is now believed the teaser will be out on 26 January for Republic Day.
"Theri" is an action film written and directed by Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame. Prabhu and Raadhika Sarathkumar will reportedly play the role of Ilayathalapathy's parents. Mahendran will be seen as the antagonist. Rajendran, Azhagam Perumal, Kaali Venkat, TM Karthik, Sunaina and others are also in the cast of "Theri", which has GV Prakash's music, George C Williams' cinematography and Anthony L Ruben's editing.
The Tamil movie will hit the screens on 14 April to coincide with Tamil New Year celebrations.
