The teaser of Vijay starrer "Theri" has taken the Tamil industry by storm. It has also created history by becoming the most-liked movie teaser in India.
In less than 10 days, the teaser has crossed over 75 lakh hits on YouTube and got over 25 lakh likes. Now, people are curiously looking forward to see whether the teaser reaches the 1 crore mark.
In the recent years, only the teaser of Vikram's "I" had crossed the 1 crore mark and it had garnered close to 50,000 likes. It has to be seen whether "Theri" becomes the second movie to achieve this feat.
"Theri" teaser had got 10 lakh hits in just 12 hours and crossed 20 lakh hits in 24 hours. This was an indication that it would become a big hit on YouTube. In four days, the video-clip had crossed 50 lakh mark.
The teaser of "Theri" has all the ingredients that Vijay fans love to see in his film. His stylish looks backed with good dialogues impressed the viewers in the teaser, which was released on Feb 5.
The 50-second teaser of "Theri" shows Illayathalapathy in multiple avatars. Without revealing much about the storyline, the video strike the chord with the audience with its power-packed sequences.
"Theri" is an action-thriller, written and directed by Atlee Kumar. The movie has Samantha and Amy Jackson in the female lead roles. Prabhu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Mahendran, Santhanam, Rajendran and others are in the cast.
The Tamil movie will hit the screens on 14 April for Tamil New Year. The audio of the movie will be released in the first week of March.
Meanwhile, the makers are planning a sequel to "Theri" even before its release. The buzz says that producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu and Vijay have given green signal for the second instalment of the flick.
