Superstar Vijay's 60th movie was launched in style four days before the release of "Theri." Keerthy Suresh, Satish and other cast and crew members attended its opening ceremony held in Chennai Monday morning.

Producer B Nagi Reddy, who has earlier bankrolled Ajith's "Veeram," has teamed up with Ilayathalapathy Vijay for his 60th movie. This landmark film is produced under the banner Vijay Production. The producer confirmed Sunday the news about its opening ceremony on the official Twitter handle of his production house. After its launch, he posted the photos on Twitter and Facebook.
Keerthy Suresh, who earned accolades for her work in the Tamil film, "Rajini Murugan," is playing the female lead alongside Vijay. The actress attended the launch. She tweeted two photos of the event and wrote, "Pooja of #Thalapathy60 ! Need all your blessings and support ☺ï¸@actorsathish @VijayaProdn @actorvijay."
Popular comedy actor Sathish Krishnan is playing a sidekick in the movie and he is all thrilled to work with Ilayathalapathy. The actor took to his Twitter handle to share his excitement with the followers. "#Thalapathy60 shoot starts today. Happy to join with Ilayathalapathy once again .. @actorvijay @KeerthyOfficial"
Bharathan has earlier written dialogues for Vijay's "Ghilli" and also directed him in "Azhagiya Tamil Magan." Now, he is teaming up with the actor for the third time for his 60th movie, which stars Jagapathi Babu, Daniel Balaji and Sriman in the supporting cast. Sukumar and Praveen KL have reportedly been roped in as the cinematographer and editor of the movie.
The production house is now in discussions for its music composer and the other cast and crew. Vijay is currently busy promoting his 59th film "Theri," which is slated to be released April 14. He is expected to join the shooting of the upcoming movie, soon after the release.
