Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly, who is basking in the success of his blockbuster movie "Premam", has been receiving appreciations from all quarters. After "Endhiran 2" director Shankar, Tamil superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay has now lauded the team of "Premam".
Vijay invited Nivin to his office in Chennai and appreciated the "Premam" team's efforts in bringing out such a beautiful movie. Through a Facebook post, Nivin has expressed his happiness in meeting the superstar and called him a "simple and down to earth personality with no aura of stardom around him". The duo also discussed about movies and Kerala.
"It totally took me by surprise when I got an invite from Vijay Sir to his office. He had loved 'Premam' and sincerely appreciated the efforts behind. Such a simple and down to earth person with no aura of stardom around him. We had a quality time discussing about cinema and his love for Kerala. A memorable day !! Appreciations from people of his stature are priceless and that always gives us an extra push and encouragement to do more good movies. His honest behaviour and simple life were all a treat to watch. Thank You Sir. And Sir, we all are eagerly waiting for Theri...!! (sic)", wrote Nivin Pauly on his Facebook page.
Earlier, Tamil director Shankar had also praised the Alphonse Puthren directorial calling it a "lively realistic entertainment". Even filmmaker Selvaraghavan had lauded Alphonse, Nivin and other crew members for the beautifully crafted film and requested other Tamil directors not to remake the movie in Kollywood as he feels it can only be done well by Alphonse.
"Premam", which has Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameshwaran in the lead, has become one of the highest grossing Malayalam films. The movie is still running successfully at Escape Cinemas in Chennai with decent theatre occupancy on almost every day till date even after eight months of its theatrical run.
Meanwhile, "Premam" is being made into Telugu as "Majnu" and its Tollywood version stars Naga Chaitanya (in Nivin's role George), Anupama Parameshwaran, Shruti Haasan (in Sai's role Malar) and Amyra Dastur (in Madonna's role Celine).
While Vijay is awaiting the release of Atlee Kumar's "Theri", Nivin's upcoming movie "Action Hero Biju" will hit theatres on 4 February.
