Vijay has turned large-hearted again. The actor, who is busy with his next movie "Theri", has donated a big amount for the Chennai flood victims.

There have been many rumours on Vijay's contribution and now we have some authentic reports on his donation. Well, the actor has made a Rs 3 crore donation for the Chennai flood victims.
He has not contributed the said amount in cash; rather he donated relief materials worth Rs 3 crore, say reports. He has associated with his fans club and spent the money on the trouble-hit victims.
Vijay has visited some places and been personally involved in the relief works. In fact, for the members of the fans club, the actor has given Rs 4000 for their immediate requirements.
Earlier, there were lots of speculation on his contribution with some of his fans claiming online that Vijay has donated a huge sum of Rs 5 crore. However, he has done so without publicity.
Coming to to his professional front, Vijay is occupied with his forthcoming "Theri". The major part of the shooting has been completed and the last schedule was held in Goa. The next schedule will begin in January 2016.
There are a few songs pending to be shot and it will be filmed on the lead stars next month. The makers have plans to shoot it in some beautiful locales in foreign countries. "Theri" is an action entertainer but the story has been written keeping the family audience too in mind.
It will have lots of emotions and not just be a regular masala entertainer. Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame has helmed the project and it is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Dhanu, who had produced Vijay's blockbuster "Thuppakki". Samantha and Amy Jackson are in the female lead roles.
"Theri" is expected to release next summer.
