The makers of "Theri" are busy shooting an action sequence in Goa. It is being filmed under the supervision and direction of Dilip Subbarayan and Kaloyan Vodenicharov.
The news has been confirmed by director Atlee Kumar himself. On his Twitter account, he wrote: "shooting Theri action with @dhilipaction,Kala(Mission impossible 5)and TG3K enjoying Theri shots @george_dop #Theri. (sic)"
The makers have taken a special interest in the climactic action sequence, and planned a massive scene. They have also roped in internationally acclaimed stunt director Kaloyan Vodenicharov, who has worked on Hollywood films like "Troy" and "Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation".
Reports say the climactic action sequence will be one of the special attractions of "Theri". A major part of the shooting has been already completed, and things have gone as per the makers' plan as of now.
"Theri" is an action-packed entertainer written and directed by Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame. Samantha and Amy Jackson are the female leads in the flick, which is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
The first look of "Theri" was released last week, and the posters have drawn huge appreciation from the audience. It has also raised the expectations from the film.
The title, which earlier was "Vijay 59", was also announced on the occasion. "When you see the film, you will realise. Did you not see the first look of the film and think how well the title matched the spark, the energy of the picture? That is how well the title Theri suits the script as well. We discussed three titles, but we finalised on Theri as it was the most apt one for the content of the film," Atlee Kumar told the Times of India while talking about the name of the film.
Vijay is expected to play three roles in "Theri", and the first look has hinted as much.
